Cheer Photo Session in Murfreesboro, TN

Earlier this season, I had the absolute privilege of photographing the powerhouse Riverdale High School Cheerleaders—just weeks after they were crowned National Champions at the 2025 NHSCC in Orlando, Florida! This incredible team brought home gold medals and those iconic white jackets in the Large Varsity Non-Tumbling Division I Game Day category, and we celebrated with an unforgettable session at their home stadium in Murfreesboro, TN.

This session was all about honoring their hard work, spirit, and that championship moment they’ll never forget. We chose the Riverdale High School football stadium as our backdrop, the place where so many of their game day memories were made. The setting sun gave us perfect golden light as we captured everything from powerful poses, to high-energy stunts, to beautiful closeup headshots.

Three of the athletes in the shoot were seniors, making this session extra meaningful. Documenting the end of an era for them—complete with gold medals around their necks and proud smiles on their faces—was such a joy. You could feel the bond this team shares and the pride they carry in their school, their sport, and each other.

What is Game Day Cheerleading?

Unlike traditional competition divisions that emphasize tumbling passes and intricate routines, the Game Day division is all about leading the crowd, showcasing team spirit, and executing game-time skills. The Riverdale cheerleaders brought unmatched energy to every chant, stunt, and cheer, proving they know exactly how to fire up a stadium—and why they earned their national title.

If you’re looking for senior cheer photos in Middle Tennessee, or want to capture your team’s big win, I am SO GAME for that.

Congratulations again, Riverdale Cheer—your hard work, heart, and hustle paid off, and it was an honor to photograph you!
